We Are Walking, Walking!

Yeah! Miss Pip and I have, been walking the streets after dark and in daylight, and it has been marvelous, but not without an interesting new development. This is hard to say, but our dog is an affection junkie, she wants attention from everyone, and I mean street people to family. This picture is a small view of her larger longing. As we walk and she sees people in her path her ears perk up and her back becomes straighter. Frequently, people stop and comment, pet, fawn and or roughhouse with her. Should someone walk by and they not attend to her .... well it breaks my heart. She tries to follow them, then when she reaches the end of the leash, she stands there looking and longing after them, head cocked as if she is confused why they didn't stop and pay attention to her. After a few moments she shakes her head, turns around and comes back to me, and begins looking again for attention.

It is also fascinating to see how new to the world she is. Grass, rain, leaves, curbs, garbage trucks, plants, curbs, motorcycles are just the icing on her wondrous cake, and through her reactions I notice these things with new eyes.
