The Stuff You Love

All bloggers have stats, and if we are honest, we look at them a lot. For this blog, the top of the line most looked at pages are the ones with Spencer Tunick - hands down. So I'm going to give you more Spencer. Those of you whom are avid fans will have seen this stuff, but for the rest of us, this is really interesting.

And here they are;
http://www.thespencertunickexperience.org/ this is about being a praticipant in a project.
http://www.spencertunickforum.org/group/ this is stuff all about him.

What is time? It seems just the other day I was working with Joan to open Raw Raw Foods, now almost a year later, we are closing it. Quick story - the world worked against us. When we started the price of walnuts was $5.99, not they are $7.99, but our menu prices are the same as they were when we opened. You do the math.

None the less, it's been a good year, and I've learned a lot, most of which I'm still processing. We had a blog called Tale of Two Raws - catchy, isn't it? We thought so, and so must many others because it is quite well read. Interestingly, most of the reading is done about oil pulling.

You can read about in more over there, but I will briefly explain it over here, for the un-initiated. First thing in the morning, or on an empty stomach, you take a tablespoon of sesame oil and swish it around your mouth for 20 minutes with out swallowing even a drop of it, then spit it out, rinse your mouth out with fresh water and go about your day.

Why would you do this? According to oilpulling.com doing this little exercise cures a multitude of medical issues - from whitening your teeth to constipation and most everything in between.

The interest in this Oil Pulling has been remarkable! I had never heard of it until a friend mentioned she was doing it and was feeling better. So hey, I thought I'd give it a try. It wasn't bad - really. I'd still be doing it, but I'm not so good on follow through, and you really need to do this for a while to notice results. But the people who do it, swear by it.

If you decide to do it, let me know. Maybe I'll be imspired to try it, yet again.

Yes, Yes I Know

My common whine these days is, I've been busy. You say, haven't we all? You are defiantly right! We are all too busy. Who does this to us? WE DO!!

I went away for the annual Mother/Daughter Weekend last weekend, and re-aquainted myself with reading, meditating and spiritual work.

You know, I've been meditating every day, if only for 10 to 15 minutes a day, and I think it's made a difference. I do feel calmer, well, I feel more focused and able to stay on task better - really.

*Changing subjects radically*

I've got another blog, over at Wordpress, The Tale of Two Raws. I have got to tell you, WP is tough for me - too much coding and fussing with plugins. And the spam you get if you don't add the plugin - it's disgusting! Don't those people have anything better to to with their time? I hope they get paid a lot of $ for doing that kind of icky BS. I feel better over here.

So here (again) is what I'm doing - these are the links.

Web Site- Raw Raw Foods
WP Blog - The Tale of Two Raws

Oh, I just added those two links and it was soooo easy! I love you Blogger. You are not as sophisticated, nor with as many bells and whistles, but you are like the work horse of weblogs...at least in my thinking.

It's really nice to have a simple post, good to be back, for however long I am......

Just thought you'd like to see a pretty picture. These are fruits and vegetables carved by my business partner Joan. I'll explain later or you can read what I'm doing on my new blog The tale of Two Raws.

Thoughts

Attitude

There once was a woman who woke up one morning,
looked in the mirror,
and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.

Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today?"
So she did
and
she
had
a
wonder ful
day.

The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror
and saw that she had only two hairs on her head

"H-M-M," she said,
"I think I'll part my hair down the middle today?"
So she did
and
she
had
a
grand
day.

The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.

"Well," she said,
"today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail."
So she did
and
she
had
a
fun,
fun
day.

The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head.

"YEA!" she exclaimed,
"I don't have to fix my hair today!"

Attitude is everything.

Be kinder than necessary,
for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Live simply,

Love generously,

Care deeply ,

Speak kindly.......

Leave the rest to God

Well, here I am. Sorry for dropping out. I've read a reason for dropping out, withdrawing from you usual activities etc., has to do with overload. You got that right.

I'm starting a new business with Joan, whom I have mentioned frequently in theses pages. The name of the business is Raw Raw Foods. We make, sell, then deliver raw lunches to people who live and work in downtown Sarasota. It's going swimmingly, we're having a great time and helping people to eat better all at the same time, but you can understand, I'm a bit busy. I miss writing, but it will have to wait until I get my fet under me again.

I just wanted to let you know what was up.

The Petrified ....

OK, folks. From, pure observation, this video is interesting and amusing...but you might get a "God, I just ate that last week!!!" feeling in your stomach. Nonetheless, it's informative.

Year of the Rat - A Good Year for Community

A couple of years ago I had Cheryl Grace come and look at my house for a Feng Shui evaluation. She was taught by Terah Kathryn Collins who founded the Western School of Feng Shui. This school differs from the traditional by looking at what the client owns, then rearranging it in a more harmonious and beneficial manner. Ms. Collins would, no doubt have something to say about my interpretation of her school/philosophy, but that's the gist, and it worked for me. There are WSFS practitioners listed on the web site - at the link above - I recommend them highly.

From time to time the school sends out newsletters (which I had signed up for). I received one yesterday and below is a part I wanted to share with you. I think it's helpful to set intentions, and these are a darn good way to start.

In the spirit of the season, these are my New Year's re-solutions, inspired by the I Ching.

On a collective level, we, the people of planet Earth listen to each other with our hearts and are open to diplomatically settling our differences. We honor the inner truth of all involved and are grateful for the guidance we constantly receive from the seen and unseen levels of life. Ego is recognized instantly by each of us and transformed through personal awareness and alignment with Cosmic Help. We honor and celebrate Nature and all the species who share the Earth with us. Love fills the air in all its expressions and Nature and the Cosmic Way are fully restored.

On a personal level, I easefully, lovingly, and with a constant sense of abundant time, resources, and space, manifest the uniqueness of my true self. I feel intimately connected to Nature and the Cosmos all the time. Every cell in my body knows exactly how to maintain vibrant health and vitality. My mind and heart are the most harmonious of lovers; my feelings and words flow from my inner truth and are inspired by my loving relationships with Helpers on the seen and unseen levels of life.

Prosperity flows with abundance and I have much more than I personally need to enjoy my chosen lifestyle. I always have plenty to share with others, including people, animals, and the Earth. I express my unique gifts, honor my relationships with all living things, and contribute to the harmony of Nature and the evolution of Cosmic Consciousness. I am constantly aware that I am whole and complete.

I Want to Be Inside Jim Demevan's Brain

This morning on CBS Sunday Morning there was a story about - Jim Denevan.
Among other things, he's a surfer, and outdoor artist and creates outdoor eating experiences.

What impresses me most, is his ability to create, then let it go. His art is drawing in the sand when the tide is out. When the tide comes in - it's erases his hours of work. Unbelievable. If you like surfing, he's featured in the film Thread by Patric Trefz. Click on the link to watch a bit of it.

Take a moment to look into this guy. He's quite something.

Edheads - Activate Your Mind!

Virtual Hip Replacement

I found this site while I was looking for a clever video to entertain you. This is a site for kids, but don't let that stop you. If you are having, or know someone who is having a hip replacement, has been in a car crash, has a bum knee or likes weather related stuff, you will learn some interesting things.
