Poor Pepper

My little Pepper has a bladder stone. That's why he's feeling punkie. He had some blood in his urine and that made me nervous. I took him to a new vet and they did x-rays which showed the stone. There are five different kinds of bladder stones, only one of which can be dissolved by diet. The blood work will tell which kind P. has and whether he has to have surgery. Little boy dogs can't pass a stone because of the length of their urethra, whereas little girls can. That's probably more than you ever wanted to know about canine bladder stones!!
