Last night I went to the coolest thing...a networking group called Women With Moxi. What was so interesting and unusual was that I felt comfortable. Typically when I go to networking things I feel so separate and not part of the group. Last night, because we were all women with something in common (we work) I felt right at home, and was able to circulate with some ease. No more co-ed groups for me! Of course I admit I need to get better at chatting-up, since I had to have a glass of wine or two to fortify me before I left my secure chair, but hey, small steps, right?
