Pay It Forward English Style

A woman who wanted to clear her conscience after she was undercharged for bed linen by £6 — 38 years ago — returned to the shop and paid it back, with interest.
Sylvia Blampey, 77, from Paignton in Devon, bought three blankets from a department store in 1971 but was charged for only one. Mrs Blampey, then a farm worker, handed over £3 and left the shop.
Brian Carter, the managing director of Jackson’s in Reading, Berkshire, said: “I had to pinch myself to check I wasn’t dreaming when she told me she wanted to pay the debt.” He gave the £20 to charity. The Daily Good

Have you ever been given too much money back and kept it? Was there a nudge within you to return it or just keep it and be about your way? Sometimes looking at ourselves is not fun. If you can do it without judging yourself, you will have given yourself and opportunity to change. If you dig deep and are appalled at what you see, you are only needlessly hurting yourself. Be kind, you are the only you you have!
